Networking to NOT find a job!

Networking to Not find a job!

Recently, I reached out to connect with employees that worked for a company where I thought I might be a good fit.  This job posting has been up and renewing since last August when I started my Salesforce journey. Now that I am certified and actively looking for a job I looked this company up again. I thought “How lucky, here is this job opening again. The company must be growing and need more Certified Salesforce Administrators “

One employee found time to reach out back to me. Their opinion painted a very different picture of my impression. They professionally stated that their Company was a mess. They are under unreasonable time constraints and employee turnover is high. There was no work life balance. Of course I was really disappointed to hear this. Now I see that networking and finding out this insider information has saved me many sleepless nights and angst. As you search for jobs try and drill down to companies you would like to work for and find out more. You never know what you will uncover.

What good or bad experiences have you had with networking?
