Just wanted to touch base with the group. This time around it is finally starting to stick to the brain! I starting over (again) with the material. I actually have recall of past knowledge. Then, I don’t get stuck as much for as long. I am able to check out why something isn’t working that I just did, go fix it, then move on. A vast improvement from my first experience.
I know that all of us come from different backgrounds with different learning styles. I was used to being hte top of my class in high school, college and grad school. But Trailhead has been one of the hardest learning experiences of my life. It just doesn’t click for me. But I have hope and I see progress.

Reading your post really hit home for me. I’m just getting started with Salesforce too, and I totally get how “this time around” feeling is so different from the first go.
You’re absolutely right – it does start sticking. The things that felt like mud the first time gradually become clearer. And yes – when you hit a wall, you can dig in, figure out what’s wrong, fix it, and move on. That was my experience with every new system I’ve learned in the past, and I’m seeing it now with both Trailhead and Salesforce too.
One of the things that’s struck me in this journey is how exciting it is to wake up each day and attack a fresh problem. You get to battle something you don’t know, puzzle it out, and come out smarter on the other side. That’s such a rush.
I’m rooting for you — thanks for sharing your progress. Let’s keep pushing — one breakthrough at a time.

I SF at Calbright College and got my certificate from the college in 3 months but I had no clue what hell I was doing.
I want to come back and restart the program and graduate. Any suggestions please. I know people say age is not all that important but I feel like I have a lot more to learn to start this career.

Thank you for this uplifting message as it is a huge help for me. I was told that SF is a piece of cake and anyone can do it. That turned out to be far from the truth. I am 59 years old and want to restart the program since I have a lifetime program here. If you have any advise or techniques to help me this time and actually achieve my goal and start a new SF job.
Honestly though has it gotten more difficult for the me and SF job market since Agent force has come and what can I expect if anything? Thank you so much.
